Career Advancement and Job Training at Volt

Begin a rewarding electrical services career, full of opportunity for advancement, with an Apprenticeship at Volt

Volt Power is proud to offer our linemen the opportunity to learn the knowledge and skills to become journeymen in their craft through our Apprenticeship Program, federally approved through the Department of Labor. We have partnered with the Southeast Lineman Training Center (SLTC) to deliver a curriculum to our apprentices that is consistent with the ever-changing needs of our industry.

Learn the skills you’ll need to advance from lineman to Foreman or General Foreman with Volt’s Leadership Programs.

Our Foreman & General Foreman Leadership Programs are designed to equip Volt Power Field Leaders with a toolkit of practical communication and employee development tools that improve business and technical practices, enhance team effectiveness, and maximize mentoring opportunities. The ultimate goal of the leadership training is to enable Volt Power Leaders to supervise with autonomy and empowerment, improve performance, and increase their team fulfillment.

Keeping you safe is our #1 priority. Volt employees benefit from comprehensive, ongoing training year over year.

To remain in compliance with regulatory training requirements and industry changes, Volt Power field employees complete a breadth of courses identified in state and federal legislation, customer requirements, and Volt Power policies. To make it easier for Volt Power employees to access required training and know when the courses are required, each employee has a Volt Power University Learning Plan.
